This residence is a large home which has an existing 180 KW PV system and a 200 KW backup generator system. Due to the size of the PV system versus the home’s load profile, a battery energy storage system ( BESS) was added. In addition, the (BESS) provides energy savings costs to the homeowner because a majority of the PV power being produced was being sold to the utility at wholesale rates.

Current Energy supplied a C BESS 125 – 440 kilowatt hour (BESS) system to meet the homeowner’s long-term goal of energy independence.
